Creating Content (insert sigh and eye roll here)
OMG how laborious is creating content for social media?
But it’s not just creating content for your social media platforms, you’ve also got to create it for your other digital platforms like blogs, newsletters etc.
We all have our reasons for not creating content. What’s yours?
👎🏼 I DON’T KNOW WHAT CONTENT TO CREATE!
👍🏼 Keep reading I’m gonna help you with that.
👎🏼 I DON’T HAVE TIME TO SIT AND CREATE CONTENT!
👍🏼 Keep reading I’m gonna help you with that too.
👎🏼 I OVER THINK IT AND END UP NOT CREATING ANYTHING!
👍🏼 Keep reading I’m gonna help you with that too.
Before you give up, read on and I’m going to tell you how you can keep it simple, create it faster by going zero content waste.
Discover Your Mission
Firstly, it’s really important to know who your perfect customer is. You need to know everything about them:
- Gender
- Age
- Location
- Occupation
- What brings them joy
- What their obstacles are
You then need to be clear on what pain point you’re fixing for your dream client.
This is your MISSION.
Who is it you help and what do you help them to do?

Start Building Your Business Ecosystem
Your mission then becomes the umbrella over EVERYTHING you do, talk about and offer.
Anything you create:
- Content
- Products
- Services
- Offers
- Free Resources
- Any Revenue Streams
sits under this mission.
Primary Piece of Content
If you have a website then it’s important to keep it fresh and updated regularly, this so Google can see it’s an active website and doesn’t push it down the rankings. A really great way to keep this digital platform active is in the form of blogs.
Every month pick a topic that fits under your ‘mission’ and breakdown this topic into 4 sub-topics.
Fill your blog with relevant information, statistics, bullet points, quotes etc.

From this one blog why not create a slide deck and video a presentation, or maybe you could video yourself talking more in depth about the sub-topics.
Weekly Newsletter Content

It’s important to grow and nurture you email list, regardless whether you have anything to offer right now.
Do that quickly and affectively from the blog you have already written. Repurpose this into your weekly newsletters.
Week 1 becomes the first sub-topic you covered, week 2 the second week and so on. If it happens to be a 5 week month then either create your blog with 5 sub-topics or send the video presentation you recorded as a recap.
No trying to think of what to write and then giving up because you’ve got a block or ran out of time. You’ve already done the hard work.
Micro Content
From that ONE BLOG you can also take snippets and create the content for your social media platforms.
Using Canva you can create images, quotes, carousel posts, reels, stories, videos, soundbites and much more.
If you’re super strategic you can keep the same elements each day of the week:
- Monday a quote.
- Tuesday a reel.
- Wednesday video/youtube snippet/soundbite
- Thursday carousel post
- Friday reel, infographic, Q&A
All you have to do is to ensure you cover these elements within each sub-topic of your monthly blog.
Final Thoughts!
Once you know your mission then creating your blogs underneath that mission should be easy.
No more creating tiny pieces of content and forgetting about it.
